Broker commission and brokerage report for textile trade

In the textile market most deals come through a broker (dalal), and his brokerage is due only when the bill is paid. Worked out on a calculator from a diary, it is argued over every month. GintiDesk keeps the broker on the party and the bill, and works out the brokerage from the bills themselves.

The broker, once

A broker is a master of his own, with his PAN, GSTIN, contact and TDS section. A party carries its broker, and a bill takes it from the party.

Brokerage, from the bills

The Brokerage Report lists each broker's bills with the brokerage on each, on paid bills, unpaid bills or both. Brokerage is a percent of the taxable value, or on a grey purchase a flat rate per lot. A bill counts as paid once payments and returns settle it in full.

Money to collect, broker by broker

  • Broker-Party Wise Outstanding: what each broker's parties owe.
  • Sales by Broker and Receipts by Broker in Sales Reports.
  • Ledger Report narrowed to one broker.

Questions

Is brokerage worked out on the bill value with GST?

On the taxable value, without GST, or per lot on a grey purchase where that is how it was agreed.

Can I see brokerage only on bills that are paid?

Yes. The Brokerage Report shows paid bills, unpaid bills, or all of them.

Where do I keep the broker's PAN and TDS section?

On the broker's own master, with his GSTIN and contact details, so they are in one place when his brokerage is paid.
